Tara VanAllen, RDMS, RVT

   Tara was born and raised in Salina and after graduating from Salina Central High school, went on to graduate from Labette Community College in 2008 with an Associates degree in Radiography. During her training at Labette, she found a passion for ultrasound and completed her Bachelor’s degree at Fort Hays State University in 2010; she then passed her registry boards for ultrasound. Her experience includes over a decade of working in hospitals and clinics throughout Kansas.

   In 2021, Tara opened The Bump Studio, a private ultrasound studio with the goal of providing pregnant women and their families the opportunity to have elective ultrasounds in an intimate and welcoming environment throughout pregnancy. The studio has been a huge success and she has given hundreds of families peace of mind and extra bonding time with their growing babies. Tara’s rapport with clients in the elective studio as well as with the many health care providers in and around the community that she has worked with over the years has allowed for growth within her private practice to now include high-risk maternal fetal medicine and general diagnostic ultrasound services. Tara launched Advantage Diagnostic Ultrasound in 2023 and is now contracted with Associates of Women’s Health as well as offering diagnostic ultrasounds services at affordable prices for individuals with high deductible insurance plans or no insurance coverage. Outside of the office, Tara stays very busy raising her four children with her husband Randy.
